Maps Maponyane is the latest celebrity investing in the youth. According to Destiny Connect, the 28-year-old Top Billing presenter in partnership with a private education institution has reportedly donated R75 000 via the Maps Maponyane Bursary Fund to a student to further their education.

Taking to Instagram, the media personality posted a snap of the recipient of his bursary.

"One day when my time is up in this complex and beautiful thing we call life, it's moments like these that will forever feature in my highlights reel. Yesterday I got to meet the 2018 recipient of the 'Maps Maponyane Bursary' with @pearsoninstitute, Molinah Nkomo, studying a BSC Biomedicine. The rest of her tuition and additional needs will now be fully taken care of.
She couldn't stop smiling, and that in itself made me realise just how fortunate I am to be in a position to give," he wrote.

Maps is not the only celebrity investing in the youth of South Africa, a couple of years ago, Bonang Matheba gave away a few bursaries to deserving young ladies during a celebratory luncheon. Shortly after that, Somizi Mhlongo donated money to students who also could not afford to further their studies.
