Another degree in the bag! A big congratulations to presenter and content creator Millicent Mashile. She recently bagged herself  an honours degree.

Millicent announced the good news on her Instagram, she posted a video of herself rocking the graduation gown.

She wrote: “An honours degree graduate. What a journey it has been. I’m grateful to God for his faithfulness in my life. It doesn’t matter how long it takes or when it happens, God’s timing is always perfect.” 

She also thanked her twin sister Inno Sadiki for the support.

“Thank you Sisi @innosadiki for inspiring me even when I felt like an underachiever, you reminder me how powerful and supernatural God has designed me to be,” said Millicent.

Congratulating her for her big achievement, Sport presenter Mpho Letsholonyane responded: “Congratulations mama.”

Last month Millicent penned a lengthy emotional post on her Instagram talking about her first graduation day back in 2018. She said her education journey was hard.

“#Throwback to one of the most emotional nights of my life.This was 3years ago today. 02-03-2018 My graduation Day. Honestly a day I thought I would never experience. My education journey was a difficult one.”

She said along the way she had to drop out of school because her grandmothers loan was declined.

“At 20years old I had to drop out in my final year studying Marketing. Went to every bank with my grandma & was declined a loan. I had to go & work and start again from scratch. In 2015 , at 27yrs I went to study what I love & obtained my acting degree,” she added.
Millicent is also doing well in her career, she is popularly known for co-presenting the One Gospel show Alpha Youth with her twin sister. The pair also have a successful YouTube Channel with almost a hundred thousand subscribers.

Uzalo actress Thuthuka Mthembu is another celebrity who recently graduated. She bagged degree from AFDA. Reflecting on the journey, Thuthuka said it has been an incredible one, she said being at AFDA encouraged her to face challenges.

“We finally graduated! Milestone completed. I feel so incredibly empowered. Like there’s nothing I cannot do. Which essentially is true, this degree affirms it! Being at Afda has encouraged me to go head to head with some of my greatest challenges, and live to tell the tale. It’s been an incredible journey, I’m so much better because of it!” she wrote on her Instagram.
