Looking at our celebrities, one may at times think that they have made it to the top all on their own. And while this may be true for some, we can all agree that no man is an island and that we need each other to thrive.

When it comes to zalebs, or pretty much any other celebrity, they will tell you that having a great manager is one of the secrets to their success. And because we value the work they do, we have decided to put together a list of our fave celebrities and their awesome managers.

Black Coffee

To start us off is Black Coffee who as we all know is a household name not only in Africa but all over the world.

And with the great success that he has been able to achieve throughout his years in the industry, we can also not fail to recognize the contribution that his international manager, Lionel Marciano made.

Lionel has been part of Black Coffee’s crew for some time now and while it is not yet clear whether or not they are still working together at the moment, we cannot wait to see the magic Black Coffee will be serving us at his next big gig.

Uncle Waffles

Next up on the list is Uncle Waffles who rose to stardom not too long ago. Despite the harsh critics that have been on her neck ever since she became one of Mzansi’s rising stars, there is no denying that this female deejay’s career has only just begun.

Uncle Waffles is managed by the Kreative Kornerr team who might I add have done a tremendous job with Uncle Waffles.

Just the other day, the agency was put under fire for having neglected all it’s other artists and was only focusing on Uncle Waffles.

And while that was only left to speculation, it is clear that Uncle Waffles and her team continue to work harmoniously and we can only wish them the very best.

DJ Maphorisa

With the number of gigs and performances that Phori is always showing up for, best believe that he has one of the best management teams in the country.

The award winning producer and musical genius is managed by Thuli Keupilwe who is the director at LAWK media agency, where they manage other artists including fellow Scorpion king, Kabza De Small.

With the great strides that these two are making in the music industry, it is good to see that they have an equally able team backing them up all the way.

Nadia Nakai

Next up on the list we have Nadia Nakai who is also making it big in the music industry. The Yacht hitmaker is managed by one Phindile Matroshe under the At Handle Marketing agency.

Ever since her rise to fame, it is undeniable that Nadia is quickly becoming one of SA’s celebrated and well renowned rappers.

From dropping hit after hit to even sparking some romance rumors with SupaMega, nothing can steal her shine and we love to see it.

Makhadzi

This list was not going to be complete without the Ghanama hitmaker, who is passionately referred to as Africa’s Beyonce.

At only 25 it goes without saying that this Queen is on an unstoppable roll and we are here for it. If you can recall she had quite the drama with her ex manager Rita Dee, but it is good to see that she is kicking it off quite well with her current brand manager.

Speaking of, at the moment, one Talifhani Banks who we have seen on countless occasions show up for Makhadzi which can only mean that they have a great working relationship.

Mlindo The Vocalist

Up until recently, not many knew exactly who Mlindo’s manager is. But after that scandal with DJ Maphorisa, many were keen to find out who Nyiko The Great is and now we see why Mlindo has decided to stick with him.

If his golden voice is anything to go by, we can all agree that Mlindo’s career could not have been what it is without the support of such a great team.

And yes, even though Phori claims that Mlindo and Nyiko have been plotting against him, one thing he got right was he decided to bring these great minds together.

If we can learn anything from these artists, it's that who you choose to be your manager will determine how long you will last in the industry.
