Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Anele Ngcongca has sadly passed away following a tragic car accident. The 33-year-olds passing comes a few days after the passing of his former lover Kwaito star Mshoza, real name Nomasonto Maswanganyi.

Eye Witness News can confirm that the soccer player lost his life during the early hours of Monday morning, 23 November 2020. A police officer told the publication that Anele lost his life on the scene and a case of culpable homicide has been opened.
“It’s alleged that this morning, at 5am, a vehicle with two occupants lost control and overturned on the N2 freeway near Mtunzini. A 33-year-old man was declared dead at the scene. The driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for medical attention. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation. On 19 November, the country woke up to shocking news of the passing on Mshoza. The Kortez hitmaker was said to be living with Diabetes and she was diagnosed in 2014. Mshoza succumbed to the disease in the early hours of Thursday morning, at a Johannesburg hospital.
Announcing the death of Mshoza, her management confirmed she lost her life due to an illness. Sunday World Journalist, Nokuthula Zwane tweeted;
"According to a close friend, she had been rushed to hospital a few weeks ago but was later ‘discharged. Details of the cause of death is still unclear. The 37-year-old, mother of two had been ill and diagnosed with diabetes. "
According to an official statement from her management, Mshoza dies in her sleep.
"It is with great sadness to announce the untimely death of Nomasonto "Mshoza" Maswanganyi. The Kortes hitmaker succumbed peacefully in the early hours of this (Thursday) morning. She was 37. She will be deeply missed as an ultimate entertainer who loved being on stage. Not only did she radiate star quality, Mshoza was a media darling."
The two popular personalities were once smitten and inlove but many were quiet shocked to find out about their relationship. This was because Mshoza was fresh out of an abusive marriage, while Anele had just called it quits with his partner of nine years and mother of his child.
