ZAlebs who are staunch Orlando Pirates fans celebrated the arrival of the kit on their Twitter accounts, Naak Musiq Tweeted together with pictures of himself celebrating the arrival of his Orlando Pirates kit.
The dragging and Social Media banter began when fans and famous brands started to compare the Orlando Pirates kit to weird but strikingly similar orange objects, distinctive to South Africa. Like Chicken Licken and Fanta orange complimenting the distinct orange colourway, then Moja Chicken claiming that the came up with the colourway first.

However, Thandi Merafe, the Orlando Pirates Media Officer had this to say about the new and bold kit.
