The Zulu Man With Some Power could be on the verge of making history if things go his way at the upcoming BET Hip Hop Awards which will be taking place in Atlanta on the 5th of October 2019.
To be fair, Nasty C has already rewritten the history books by becoming the first-ever South African artist to ever be nominated for a BET Hip Hop Award. We've had some luck at the BET Awards; but its hip-hop-themed sibling rarely recognises talent from the continent -- until now!
Last week it was announced that this year's BET #HipHopAwards would be introducing a brand new category for the Best International Flow Award and as lovers of African music and culture we think it's about time that our acts received some love for the hard work they are doing in global hip hop. This announcement was made during the BET Hip Hop Award nomination reveal and when it was time to share the first-ever nominees for the inaugural award, we were pleased to see that Nasty C was among the contenders.
The 22-year-old will be coming up against Sarkodie, Falz, Lil Simz, Tory Lanez and a number of top acts from France and the UK.
The momentum couldn't be better for Nasty C who is on the verge of releasing his third studio album, Zulu Man With Some Power. So far we've already been given a few snippets of the flow that will be on display on the record and if this is anything to go by, then you can expect the rapper to walk away with that coveted first-ever International Flow award.
Will Nasty C make history at the BET hip hop awards next month?
