Pearl Modiadie Lands Major Acting Role- Fans React

She is set to make her debut on 1 Magic's upcoming series

TV presenter and media personality Pearl Modiadie has time and time again impressed Mzansi by how well determined she is with her dreams and the things she is most passionate about. Not too long ago she took to her Instagram to gush over how much she was loving and enjoying her life on set, and now we know why.


In a new upcoming Rom Com series on 1 Magic TV, this coming Friday the 7th of January will see the premier of the newest show, Entangled that is starring Phuti Khomo, Vuyo Ngcukana and Vuyo Dabula, with Pearl leading the supporting cast.

The Burnt Onion production is a 13 part show, follows Sharon, a 30-year-old overachiever who is about to marry Sizwe, the love of her life. When Sharon's ex, Julius, reappears after a long absence, everything Sharon and Sizwe have achieved is jeopardized. 


According to 1 Magic, the series will examine the hardships of life in our 30s, navigating friendships, the concept of masculinity, culture conflicts, sexual orientation, and the ever-pressing issues of what current day relationships look like through a comical perspective through the characters and storylines of the program.


Being Pearl’s first ever acting role, this news has been received with much excitement and joy from her loyal fans. Not only does she get to warm our hearts as a host anymore, but now we get to see her talent as an actress. 


In the series, Pearl will be playing Andiswa, alongside Senzo Radebe who will be playing Pearl’s baby daddy as Reggie. It really is an exciting series to look forward to. Pearl has also expressed her excitement on being on the new TV series and her fans have shown up in numbers to congratulate her and wish her the very best.

Pearl, who has been featured on a number of local telenovelas like Rhythm City, Generations and even Scandal will no longer be taking a backseat role anymore and we can only imagine the many doors that this venture will open moving forward.



The former Zaziwa presenter also just turned 34 not too long ago and we are happy to see that she is already taking the new year by the horns, ready to take on whatever comes her way like the queen that she is.
