Talking to GQ, Rosemary Zimu talks about how she landed the acting role on Netflix's Savage Beauty. Although the six part series has ended but Rosemary Zimu and her acting range have been dubbed as unmatched.
"I auditioned for it and clearly my self-tape was the bomb because I made it to the callbacks. I just made sure I gave it my all and nailed every callback. And you know when something is yours. It’s yours and it’ll never miss you. Savage Beauty was mine; it was written in the stars" Rosemary Zimu told GQ
Even though her acting skills, uniqueness and talent may have landed Zimu the role on Savage Beauty. However, she is still in complete disbelief that not only she played a lead role but she was on a Netflix project. Which may have played a huge role for Zimu to also land this international gig.
"I never imagined something like this would happen for me in my career, well, at least not so soon. But, you know, we write these things down and we manifest, so when it happens, it’s bigger and beyond what we’ve dreamed or what we’ve written down or manifested. It’s always so amazing. It’s a blessing. Absolutely phenomenal and life-changing. I could go on, but it’s definitely a dream come true. I think that it’s also just a way of showing the younger generation that these things are possible. The South African entertainment industry can make an impact internationally. And that’s all thanks to platforms such as Netflix" Rosemary Zimu told GQ
