King Goodwill Zwelithini was the Zulu Nation’s eighth ruler. He led a traditional polygamist lifestyle and built a monarch with six women whom he treasured.
With these wives he has 26 children 12 of whom are daughters. Sadly, in March 2021, he passed away at 72, leaving a succession battle between the children especially the daughters. Some of the most notable of these princesses are:
Princess Nombuso
Known for her Christmas birthday, Princess Nombuso is daughter to Queen Sibongile Dlamini, the first wife of the late King Goodwill. In July 2005, she wed Seshi Chonco, who paid the traditional “ilobolo” comprising of 17 herd of cattle and R50, 000 in cash. They later got divorced.

Princess Ntandoyenkosi
In 2005, Princess Ntandoyenkosi was appointed “Head of the Zulu Maidens” by her father. On 20 August 2008 in a
Umkhelo, she got married to the Presidential Deputy Director-General Busani Ngcaweni. There followed the main wedding ceremony on August 2022 attended by thousands. The couple have several children including Nellie Tembe, Zamatonga, Vukile Tembe, Mbali, and Nosipho. Ntandoyenkosi.

Princess Nandi
She is named after Queen Nandi the mother of the Zulu King Shaka. From the tender age of three, Princess Nandi travelled between Swaziland and SA and says this made her independent.
The philanthropist got married to Mfundo Mtirara, the leader of the BaThembu tribe in the Eastern Cape in a marriage attempted to unite the two powerful kingdoms in South Africa. He presented 150 head of cattle as “ilobolo”. The couple divorced after two years, and the Princess cannot speak about it as she is bound to secrecy by royal decree.

Princess Sibusile Zulu
Her mother is Queen Buhle Mamathe. Princess Sibusile was shot in the leg and sustained brain injuries during a gang attack at the Royal residence in KwaMashu. During the incident, her mother was also hurt.
Princess Ntandoyesizwe Zulu
The first daughter of Queen Mantfombi’s three daughters is a former model and beauty queen. She is currently married to Moses Tembe, with whom she runs a business dynasty of shipping companies, filling stations and fast-food outlets.

Princess Cebolabo Zulu
Princess Cebo is known for leading the royal maidens in the Annual reed dance in 2008.
Princess Ntombizosuthu
Princess Ntombizosuthu is a middle child of Queen Sibongile Dlamini. The princess will turn 43 years old in 2022. Her husband, Mbongiseni Duma, professedly paid an “ilobolo” valued at $1 million for her hand in marriage. Princess Ntombizosuthu is an entrepreneur and business partners with her spouse. Together they run Strategic Persuasions and Zamalwandle Transport Logistics.

Princess Sinethemba Bati Zulu
At 33 years old, she is the youngest of Queen Dlamini’s daughters. She is studying International Relations at the University of Witwatersrand.
Princess Bukhosibemvelo Zulu Nyawo
Princess Bukhosibemvelo is a qualified beauty technician. She allegedly wrote to the ruler asking him to relinquish his power.
King Zwelithini daughters have admittedly lived out their lives as South African Zulu Princesses. Sadly, since their father passed away, they seem divided over which of the siblings are entitled to rule the kingdom.
