Shudu who also has a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pretoria, took to social media to share the special moment ion her life.
She said, "After my virtual graduation today, I had an interview opportunity with VC Prof Zeblon Vilakazi and of course I went in my grad attire. This pandemic has led to trying times and uncertainty for everyone. To all students who had to persevere even in the least ideal times… phambili✊🏾 Congratulations to the class of 2020"
Even though the graduation ceremony was held virtually, Shudu was the guest of the Wits Vice Chancellor, Professor Zeblon Vilakazi.
Former Miss SA and business woman Basetsana Kumalo expressed her excitement and said to Shudu, "Right now I don’t know whether to cry…you are the hope of the future, the one our children will look up to! Congratulations beautiful one! Thank you for showing up for your education whilst wearing the crown ever so magnificently! You ROCK!"

Shudu's graduation was however not received well by everyone as it made it seem like she was the only special one and as such some tweeps felt it was wrong for the institution to do that to the other students.
@lawseum_za said, "This is wrong on so many levels. You could have left this for your WhatsApp status. We cant be having selective graduations"
Some tweeps came to the university's defence and said that she was allowed to walk across the stage because she is South Africa's Miss SA and instead called the lady jealous.
@lawseum_za said, "Jealously Sir? Graduation is nothing new to me, Graduation that's properly constituted by the way. Appreciate that she had a graduation ceremony when her peers didn't yet they obtained a qualification aswell? She is a leader. They need to do better"
@king743068 jumped into the conversation and said, "Well! She's Miss SA, definitely that office is a place of privilege. Don't you think? Y'all definitely not equal. So now congratulate her!"
Shudu who celebrated her birthday on Mandela Day, 18 July announced that she has partnered with the Angel Network to help those who are without food.
Shudu took to her Instagram to announce the partnership. She said, "South Africans are best when they act in unison. We rise to the occasion when it is necessary. To those who can, and want to help – it is necessary to help now. Please pledge what you can"
Three months ago, Shudu revealed that she wants to be a female President and with her actions today, she is well on her way to being the first female President.
