It is no secret that Rabede has since carved out an impressive acting career since he landed his first acting role. The actor won the hearts of many people in 2006-2009, when he starred as Cassius in the SABC1 drama series A Place Called Home and he never looked back.

He went on to flex his acting muscles on highly reputable TV shows such as Generations, Celebrity Guest, Rhythm City, Boboza, Ring of Lies and Ring of Lies.

With the manner in which he goes about delivering his artistry, he's catapulted himself to a unique place in the acting industry and we are here for it. Siyabonga has reportedly joined SABC 1's popular sopaie Uzalo, as one of the show's cast members.
The announcement has been well received by his fans, who are happy that he is returning to television soon. Siyabonga hogged the headlines in 2019 after he split from actress Lerato Mvelase, the mother of his children.

After reports that they had ended their relationship, he decided to clarify the situation. As a result of his apathy, he wrote a heartfelt letter to Lerato, expressing his regret over disappointing his family and Lerato's family.

"I have not been the best boyfriend or the best father. I have disappointed Lerato’s family and my own. I wish there was a way to go back into time and make different choices but what is done is done. There is no undoing it."

"There is no going back. All I can do now is apologise and move forward, and hopefully learn to use these challenging times as an example and lesson in the future, and call myself out. Because God knows I went the wrong way for far too long this time around," he began his lengthy post.

He said it was the first time he opened up about this most private part of his life, and he said he had a hard time saying goodbye to Lerato.

"I have never said this in public before but letting go of someone that you love and shared your life with is not an easy road to travel. Everyday feels like the journey just began and will not end. No amount of alcohol, late nights out and different girls can make the feeling of emptiness.

"I have tried and in these trying times I have made one mistake after another, and I have been so stubborn or too egotistical to admit that it is nobody else’s fault but my own. I have blamed everybody but myself and I am extremely sorry that it took this long for me to see," he wrote.
