Flamboyant media personality Somizi Mhlongo, has been in showbiz for more than a decade now, and he has successfully dabbled in TV presenting, acting, music and business.


Somizi is one of the country's most consistent child stars. He gained prominence after showcasing his acting muscles on the movie Scavengers and later starred on Sarafina, where he got to tour around the world.

Over the years, he has hosted several TV shows and written his own memoir, Dominoes: Unbreakable Spirit. The award-winning book share insights into his career, his rag to riches story and living with an incurable disease he didn't divulge.

With all the fame and money, Somizi's life has not all been glamorous. He has had a fair share of controversies and obstacles, and his personal life always makes tabloid headlines.

He gets to even open up more on his reality show Living The Dream With Somizi and it appears this season will be bigger and better. Somizi has been in the news a lot lately following his separation from his hubby Mohale Motaung.

The pair is currently going through a messy divorce and it doesn’t look good. According to a report on Sunday World, Somizi refused to take part in mediation as part of their divorce settlement because Mohale had requested that Somizi not "air their dirty laundry" in public.

Taking to his Instagram account today, Somizi gave fans a first look at season 5 of Living The Dream with Somizi. The season will center around his divorce and picking up the pieces after the loss of multiple gigs.

Some of the things viewers will get to see this season are Somizi’s divorce party, being told that his estranged husband is entitled to 50% of his estate. Lorcia Cooper asked him whether he hit Mohale, as he his estranged husband alleged.

This season will also feature his daughter Bahumi Mhlongo and his baby mama Palesa Modisakwana. From this season on, Legend Manqele who is the owner of Bar Leader TV production will no longer produce the show, and it will air on Showmax.
