Zama Ngcobo is no stranger when it comes to working in media. She got a head start in her career when she became a continuity presenter for SABC 1 in 2007. Since then she’s aspired for more and hasn’t looked back.

Zama stunned viewers with her humbleness and respect in 2007 and when her journey ended as a continuity presenter, she seized the day and knocked on many doors in the industry.

She ventured into business and radio when she joined Ukhozi FM a few years ago and most recently showed her acting talent when she played the role of Thabitha on SABC 1 soapie, Generations.

Zama also auditioned for Top Billing at one stage.

Zama recently returned to South Africa's biggest radio station, Ukhozi FM.

" It's been really great Interacting with the listeners, they have been phenomenal, it's like coming back home," said Zama.

When asked if viewers can expect her to return on Generations or acting somewhere else, all she said was:

" Anything is possible."

Looking back to her days as a continuity presenter, Zama said it gave her an opportunity to grow.

" I have been able to do the things I have always wanted to do in the best possible platforms our industry has to offer. I am glad to having been in business now for seven years and being what I can officially call stable."

Zama co-hosts the Ukhozi FM breakfast show with Sipho 'Siqgemeza" Mbatha.

Zama’s down-to-earth personality and driven nature is sure to make her one to watch.
