The actress was cast on the new Showmax show The Wife, and she has done such a great job with the role of Mandisa that fans just can't keep calm. The recent episode, which saw Mandisa burn a bag of money which was meant to get Zandile The Resolute (played by Khanyi Mbau) out of jail, has gotten the actress a lot of applause from the viewers, and we have to agree.

She has also been applauded for her consistency in delivering more than the assignment asked for in every role she plays. She did the same amazing work on Generations, and has consistently gotten better at her craft in other productions like Blood and Water and Blood Psalms, among others.
In a recent interview with TshisaLIVE, the actress talked about the wonderful time she has had portraying Mandisa, and expressed awe at the love she has been receiving for it. She enjoys being part of the SA population, but did not expect to get that much love for the role, as it signals that Mzansi loves and accepts her, which is more than she could ever ask for.

She has also shared the applause with Dudu Busani-Dube, the author of the books from which the show is adapted. She said that none of what she has accomplished with the role would have been possible without him and the screenwriter, literally because the role wouldn't exist without them, but also because they did such a great job writing the character that she immediately relates and identifies with Mandisa.
βShe reminds me of South Africans because weβve gone through the worst and we just stay laughing. Even though weβve been through the pits we stay humble, happy, hungry and we stay welcoming so she is that too, and sheβs a woman at the end of the day, just another girl with a story,β she said about Mandisa.
It shouldnβt be surprising that Zikhona would divert the attention from herself and share the spotlight with the rest of her team. Not too long ago, she was gushing over Mduduzi Mabaso, whom she worked with in Diep City, and shared some deeply insightful advice that he had shared with her that has since guided her in her career.
"Someone I am getting to know said it's not about the speed but the direction. Careful of going the wrong way fast mntase. Steady in your lane and greatness will meet you where it knows to meet you," she wrote on Instagram.
We are happy to see that Zikhona is getting her flowers while she is still alive and able to appreciate the love. And yes, she deserves all of this and more β she is a phenomenal actress.
