Zola 7
Kwaito legend Zola 7 has been trending for the past 24 hours, as he was reported to have finally accepted help from Mzansi. Now it seems like the bank account provided initially may have been right all along.
As a Facebook page bearing his name shared some bank details, fans were anxious about blindly diving in to donate money to him. It would not be the first time that someone has used Zola 7โ€™s name to try and scam the public, so the anxiety was completely justified.

A video has now gone viral of Zola 7 confirming the bank details that were posted on Facebook. In the video, his close friend Stanley Khoza read out the account number and also confirmed the name attached to it. He asked fans to be vigilant so they are not scammed by any other people trying to pass off a different account as Zolaโ€™s, and asked them to take screen grabs and share them with either him or Zola himself, and to report them as well.

Before fans could get suspicious again, of this person they donโ€™t know, speaking for the singer with such authority, Zola 7 called attention to himself behind the camera. Stanley flipped the camera to reveal Zola 7 himself, happily sitting inside a Bentley.

He also confirmed his official social media pages.
The car seems to have been gifted to him by Dr Shauwn Mkhize, who visited with him yesterday after Mzansiโ€™s efforts went viral. She was with her son, Andile Mpisane, and they spoke affectionately to him.

MamMkhize further urged the public to continue doing what they have been doing.
Zola himself was seen gushing over everyone for their kindness. From Shauwn and the brand new Bentley, to the masses of people DM-ing him to ask for his bank account details so they could send him a token of appreciation. It has all been an overwhelming presence, and he is yet to completely wrap his head around getting so much love.

The singer, through his Facebook page, came out to thank fans for the good deed they had done for him.
โ€œI've never expected anything in return for the help I've given people in need but this is truly humbling. Initially I rejected this notion ngoba I'm a proud nguni man kodwa futhi kuthiwa ungabo jikisa isipho osphiwa sona. Ngakho, ngiyabonga Guluva Nation,โ€ he wrote.

What a moving act by the country. And we have to give credit to the tweep who started it all, @ChrisExcel. Good going!
