Its been a year since Karabo Mogane shot to
fame  after winning the 11th
season of Idols South Africa and things have been looking great for him

Since the night he officially became mzansi’s
latest singing sensation, things have been looking up for 25 year old whose life changed drastically since that memorable
night. Between studio time, interviews, live performances and building a pretty
strong fanbase, Karabo is living large and living his dream.

Following the launch of his second studio album “Matters of the heart” produced by Robbie Malinga, Karabo came up with just the perfect way to thank his fans for all their support. From August 8th  the singer will be taking his album on a two city tour to shatter the silence on abuse against women and children.

He personally chose the month of August not because it’s his birthday month, but because it’s women’s month and he has nothing but love for the ladies.

“I chose to tour in August because I want to thank my fans for their support over the last two years and also appreciate women for the role they play in our lives,” says Mogane. Karabo says his closing show will be a ladies appreciation show, one, especially for his female fans.

Karabo still gets nevous before a performance. “I still get nervous even after all this time, Im not a perfectionist or anything like that but I want to do my best and wanting to do my best makes me nervous” he says. A combination of vocal exercises and the right liquids for his vocals help him relax a little and get him ready to peform. After the nervs wear off and a short prayer, its show time.”

Karabo’s biggest challenge thus far is getting people to identify him as Karabo Mogane and no longer ‘’The Idols winner”. Although he appreciates the platform and opportunity that Idols has given to him, he thinks that its only a matter of time before people start to address him as just “Karabo.”

Him winning Idols will always be in our minds and we can never really erase it all Karabo is asking for is a chance to show who he is other than being the ‘’Idols Winner”. Apart from growing even more in his career, he would love to get into acting, and like many of us, he is obsessed with the popular telenovela The Queen.
