Lerato Sengadi has fought tooth and nail to preserve HHP's legacy. So imagine her deep disappointment when it turned out that she had been left out of her late husband's will altogether. All we can say is "Damn!"
The timing of this news couldn't be worse. Lerato Sengadi has spent the last few weeks fighting the former business partner of the late Jabulani "HHP" Tsambo in a bid to see who would receive HHP's post-humous Lifetime Achievement Award at this past weekend's #SAMA25 ceremony. Seabelo Modibe (HHP's business partner) accused Lerato of "clout chasing" before the super publicist hit back in with a statement of her of her own.
It looked as if it would be Leratoliscious who would emerge victorious when she turned out to the SAMAs in all of her feminine glory to represent the man she loved. We caught her on the red carpet and she looked dazzling:
However, in the end it was decided that HHP's only son, 14-year-old Leano, should be the one to claim his father's award.
Less than 24 hours later, a damning report in Sunday World revealed that Lerato was set to inherit absolutely nothing from the late rapper's will. According to that report, Jabba's will left absolutely everything to Leano, leaving Lerato with no access to his estate.
It's not entirely over, however. Lerato Sengadi still faces a court battle with the Tsambo family in a bid to see if their union is binding in the face of the law. If she wins, she will automatically inherit half of the rapper's estate regardless of their marital status.
This battle appears to be far from over and if you take a quick look at her most recent social media post, you will see that Lerato is not backing down.
