Nkosana and Zandile's explicit sex scene on The Wife, has caused quiet a stir on social media and, some have wished they could unsee it as it keeps playing in their minds.
It is no secret that the pair has become one the country's most favourite on-screen couples. The romance they share leaves many in awe and ladies are often mesmerized by Mondli's looks and mannerism.
Viewers have not been impressed with The Wife's storyline recently and it seems the scene has won viewers hearts of many people. According to entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, it's the most explicit scene on South African television.
Controversial Twitter user, Chris Excel reckoned that the raunchy scene was shown to distract viewers from their boring storyline.
"They made those sex scenes on THE WIFE to distract y’all since you were complaining that it’s now boring They know we’re an horny Nation… We support sex more than an actual purpose of the show .. That’s why Shower hour on Big brother has more views than an actual show," shared a tweet.
Following the scene, Skhumba Hlophe posted a photo on his Instagram account that appeared to show him being angry and jealous of Bhuti Om'dala.
Khanyi recently dragged the show's storyline and said she was unimpressed with it. She thanked viewers for their feedback and hoped for change. Before season 2 premiered, she admitted that Zandile has been a very complex character for her.
"Out of all characters that I've ever played, Zandile is the most complex one. She challenges me.
"She is not an open book; I am still in the process of trying to find who she is. She's very cold and detached and disconnected from reality. She doesn't cry. She speaks with the same tone. She never lifts her voice. So she frustrates me and she is going to frustrate the viewers, to the extent of almost disowning her because she seems indecisive and manipulative.
"You can never pinpoint what she's going to wake up like the next day. I think even her husband struggles with that. But she has one thing about her that I like: she loves deeply, which is something that she has in common with her husband."
