Buhle Samuels took a moment to speak to ZAlebs.com ahead of her long-awaited return to Muvhango. Her comeback was confirmed in an announcement this week.
Matshidiso is back, and so is Buhle Samuels. After a brief hiatus from our screens, the sultry actress started 2020 with the big news that she would be returning to Muvhango as her fiesty character. She also made a swift return to the Twitter trends list as a result; after fans tried to compare her to Mihlali Ndamase, but that's a story for another day.
Buhle's return to the Venda-based soapie was greeted with open arms. Many viewers were left disappointed when she left the soapie almost exactly two years ago (January 2018). However, she has unfinished business and so does her notorious character, Matshidiso, who is ready to get tongues wagging again.
This week we took a moment to speak to the 29-year-old who is undoubtedly in the prime of her career. We began by congratulating her on her return and asked how it felt to be back on our screens:
"Wow... I feel so much refreshed and ready to take over again. I am actually scared as I don't know what will the viewers say. (Sigh!) Now that you asking am more nervous. I have missed Tsidi though. OH MY God! (She laughs.) (Grabs air.)"
On that note - we dive straight in and quizzed her on what we could expect from Tshidi this time around. She was buzzing as she replied,
"Expect more drama as the story and plots from the devious Matshidiso gets emotional. Just make sure you tune in weekdays to see more. The sexy trouble maker is back nana. There's only one Matshidiso and it is Matshidiso. "
Yikes... we quickly asked her to predict if viewers might have something to say about the return of her feisty damsel:
"Well playing the seductive villainous character comes with both negative and positive. I expect the viewers to get to know more Tsidi and enjoy her drama that comes with it. This time she is back with the double schemes. "
She's not just excited about Matshidiso's return; she's buzzed about the big career moves she has up her sleeve too. She teased a few to ZAlebs when she said,
"This is my year I am taking over everything that's mine with God on my side. I can't even tell but watch and see as Buhle Samuels flies high. They say the sky is the limit. I say I want it all the ocean and the sky. It's my time and it's my year. Look out for The Return of Matsidiso on Muvhango as the pro"
