Arguably the most successful artist in the South African entertainment industry today, Cassper Nyovest is definitely a household name. Not a week or month goes by without his name trending and being involved in some sort of news or controversy and that is why collectively, as a nation, we absolutely love him.

This past week was no different, Cas was trending on the twitter streets for several reasons.

The entertainer was trending after it was reported that his new TV show that airs on SABC 1 - The Braai Show with Cassper Nyovest ranked number 14 with a viewership of 1,927,802 views in the month of September. This was the talk of the town because Cassper took over as the host of the show from his long time nemesis AKA and seemingly was not able to surpass his viewership. The two have had an ongoing conflict since 2015. However, a few of his fans have given him the benefit of the doubt and cannot wait to see what he brings to the next season of the show.

A few days ago he took to Instagram to let people know that his ‘crib’ was almost ready for this summer's hottest Billiato parties. Cassper is scheduled to release his new alcohol called Billiato this November. He posted a picture of his mansion which was definitely giving off Ibiza Villa Vibes and the hashtags included #BilliatoATasteOfWealth. Seems like Cassper will be hosting a series of parties because ‘artists must support other artists’ and we are anxiously waiting to see the guestlist, outfits, pictures and get a taste of the anticipated Billiato. Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim even features in the comment section saying she would be flying all the way down from Ghana just to attend the parties, the hype is definitely there!

Following the sudden death of his business partner the MD of Drip Footwear, Glenda Ndlanzi, Cassper took to his twitter to express just how dangerous it is to be successful in South Africa because you are constantly in fear for your life. Fellow celebrity Black Coffee echoed his sentiments and replied to his tweet with ‘eish’ and a sad face emoji. Cas continued to express himself and replied with ‘Hai grootman it's bad. We working hard only to become targeted by our own people’.

Earlier this month the rapper a la entrepreneur gifted the mother of his son Thobeka Majozi a Rolex watch estimated to be worth $5,900 (R88,131) in celebration of her 29th birthday and in mid September gifted his son Khotso, his first car, an electric Bentley for his first birthday. Fans have definitely been impressed by his choice of gifts and it's safe to say Cas does not shy away when it comes to SPOILING his family. The superstar has been involved in a series of relationships with fellow celebrities such as Boity and Amanda du Pont but Thobeka has without a doubt stolen his heart. We love a family man!

There is no denying that Cassper’s name and brand is synonymous with wealth and good times. You can read more about ‘Mufasa’ here
