The handover was attended by Ekurhuleni Executive Mayor, Mzawndile Masina, and the MEC of Education and Youth Development, Panyaza Lesufi. The campaign (which is in partnership with Toughees) was launched to help eradicate the challenge that many pupils face - which is not making it to school or walking to school barefoot. Shimza has worked immensely hard to restore the children’s dignity so that they can have a better education.
The campaign continues to yield positive results every year and is a product of Dj Shimza’s One-Man Show held annually on Christmas eve. Shimza dedicates all funds made from the show to lend a helping hand to his community.
The show was once again a success last year. It was headlined by the heavyweights of the SA music fraternity including Aka and Sjava amongst others.
Shimza recently made history by signing on the dotted line with United Talent (a US-based talent agency for international bookings. To more success!
