Black Coffee has raised a stupendous R76 000 towards South Africa's fight against COVID-19.

His free streaming live concert, called Home Brewed 001, was not only for entertainment purposes, but was also a way to get fans to donate towards the solidarity fund set up by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

With the lockdown restrictions underway, the DJ decided to bring the entertainment to people at the comfort of their own homes. When he announced his free concert, social media went berserk.

This was also a way of getting people to give back and to help fight the greater evil, whilst spinning the decks.

"Blown away by all of the love and generosity following yesterday’s stream. For Home Brewed 001, we were able to raise over 76,000 ZAR towards @solidarityfundrsa Thank YOU!"

With the success of his first concert which managed to raise R76K, he is looking forward to keeping Mzansi dancing again on Easter weekend. This will help raise even more money.

"I’ll be streaming again next Saturday to continue raising money for the cause...we’re still accepting donations."
