The rapper took to Instagram to express how grateful he is for the love and encouraging messages he received from people following Riky Rick's suicide. People understood that they had a fall out years back but they were thick as thieves.
Cassper acknowledged the sweet messages he received despite receiving a lot of negativity for his tribute message to the late rapper.
“I’ve experienced a lot of kindness and love this week. I appreciate every message and every gesture as I am clearly not okay."
Cassper admitted that he cried a lot but he is hopeful that he will come to terms with his passing, "I’ve cried and cried but I am yet to come to terms with this. I have to say this though, it’s all in God’s hands and all shall be well with our souls. God moves.”
Cassper is one of the most hated celebrity in South Africa on social media and people always hate on him for actually saying the smallest things. He was aware of the tweets from people who preach kindness and being wary of mental health but he says those are just for likes and rts because people go back to trash talking each other.
"Everything here is for clout. Even the "Be Kind" tweets are for likes and Rts. They post them when something happens cause that's what is trending. Abo "Be Kind" nabo "Depression is real guys" Mxm! Nothing is gonna change. The youth is doomed cause we have no leaders. Just vibes!"
Bonang tried to comfort him and said told him sorry and things will be okay.
Cassper is understandably hurt by the passing of Riky Rick and is living with a bit of regret because he thought they still had time to fix things but they did not.
Cassper did an interview on the Banques and Venom show where he touched on his failed friendship with Riky Rick.
“The Riky one is very sad because that is my brother. It hurts because I never thought there’d be a day when I don’t speak to Riky. This is what hurts more – I never thought there’d be a day when I don’t want to speak to Riky.” He continued.
But he said he did not want to resolve any of their issues but was hopeful that when they do, it would be as parents to their kids, but not as friends.
“You could be angry and whatever, but I genuinely don’t want to talk to him. I don’t want to solve it. Right now it’s where I am. I don’t think that it’s damaged forever. You know maybe one day I’ll be at Milton college and Mikey will be taking a certificate there and Khotso is there and I happen to be sitting next to RIKY. Maybe one day we’ll connect on a different level. Not as artists but as parents. And maybe that’ll happen. But as Mauthi fela I think it was destroyed for like nothing.”
Cassper paid tribute to Riky Rick where he said he is not ready to let got of Riky yet.
