From Young Gun to Cassper Nyovest? - let's just say, we're glad that, the good homie stuck to his current stage name!
Stage names are quite a thing within the entertainment industry. Whilst many have stuck with their initial choice of stage names, others have either transitioned to using their real names or adopt other AKA's.
One is reminded by a hilarious moment between Anele Mdoda and Trevor Noah on the now defunct, Real Talk With Anele. During the interview, Anele mentioned that when starting out in radio, she named herself 'The Dominatrix of the Airwaves', but reverted back to her real name a week later.
Another local rapper that has since changed his alias is rap legend, Stogie T. His current name change was heavily influenced by the sonic evolution of his new music. The 38 year old went from Tumi From The V, to Tumi Molekane and now Stogie T.
