On Sunday morning, Cassper shared how Saturday night was a bittersweet experience for him. It was sweet because his concert turned out to be a success, however, the bitter part came from all the hardship he experienced during the process of making this show happen.

It has taken Cassper a few days to come out and explain what really transpired during those weeks of preparing for #FillUpMosesMabhida Stadium, on Monday evening, the rapper and his manager, Lerato 'TLee" Moiloa finally opened up.

Tlee explained that they had the most traumatic experience while preparing for the Durban concert. Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "What we experienced organising #FillUp in Durban was the most difficult, scary & painful experience of our careers. Threatened almost daily, not just concert cancelled but our lives. Before he jumped on stage instead of praying, myself & kid just cried. God saved #FillUp."

Cassper also attested to this and explained that after seeing Tlee cry, he knew he just had to  uphold the entire team.

The Doc Shebeleza hitmaker, who also performed at the Global Citizen Festival on Sunday, was invited for an interview at the SABC on Monday evening, where he went into great detail about the drama that happened while preparing for his Fill Up concert. He explained that they've ended up with a R7 million bill that they need to now pay off, and also shared how Durban sponsors suddenly pulled out sponsorship for the concert.

"Most often we find ourselves in positions where we need funding and sponsorships from institutions like the government and we were not able to be supported the way we should be. For instance, we just came from Mabhida and right now we're sitting with a R7 million debt, after engaging with the different departments that were supposed to help us, and how they promised us all the support, there was no financial contribution," the rapper told SABC News.

Cassper even mentioned that some of the sponsors pulled out on the day of the concert which made the process even more difficult for him and his team. The rapper also detailed that a sudden rumour about them getting funds worth R56 million was the beginning of all their problems.

He shared: "There was a rumour that came out that apparently, we got R56 million and that's where everything started. So, it then made all the sponsors that are corporate, that wanted to sponsor us, pull out. So, right now I'm sitting with a R7 million bill that I have to kind of figure out with me and my team."

Another shocker from this interview is that Cassper said the show almost got cancelled seven times.
