Ever since the death of Shona Ferguson early last year, there is no denying that the Ferguson family went through a difficult time. Trying to move on without their father and husband was not an easy journey and we are happy to see that they have pulled through better and stronger.

Taking to her Instagram, Connie recently took to sharing a post that has sent a strong message to anyone or anything that is intending to steal her joy this year. The message is short and clear, “Piss off”

Her comment section, as you can already imagine is flooded with messages of industry mates and fans simply echoing the same sentiment saying that they will not allow any negativity to trample on their happiness and peace this year, and we most definitely agree.

Others have also gone ahead to laugh at the whole situation while the rest have just gone ahead to express their love for Connie, wishing her more joy and peace throughout the rest of the year. Here are some of the reactions

Fans have also gone ahead to praise the good work Connie and her team at Ferguson films are doing especially with The Queen Mzansi that airs every Monday to Friday on Mzansi Magic. The telenovela remains to be one of Mzansi’s favourites and we cannot wait to see the drama that will unfold on our screens this year.

If you can remember, it was not that long ago when SK Khoza was given the boot from the telenovela, following allegations that he had assaulted his ex- fiance. Ferguson Films, wished him the best in his future endeavors as he was exiting  the show. They also paid tribute to Khoza for his dedication to his craft and expressed its confidence that he will continue to excel.

It was also during this same time that Mzansi was led to believe that  Connie, who is The Queen’s producer, was supposedly having a hard time managing the Ferguson films after the passing of Uncle Sho. This is especially after the Mzansi telenovela had to also witness Cindy Mahlangu leave the cast.
Connie was thrust into the spotlight almost immediately, with many questioning if she could actually keep the program running or if this was the start of the end for the Ferguson films. Despite Connie's lack of response to these allegations, The Queen remains at the top of it’s game and we love to see it.
