DJ Cleo's dad, Samuel Monyepao during an interview at his home in Bachum. Monyepao (64) says he's disappointed at the way his son, DJ Cleo treats him. The award-winning music producer allegedly doesn't look after his diabetic dad who lives in filth with nothing to eat.
Shame, it was just Father's Day a week ago and already the skeletons are coming out of the closet. This time Mr Facebook, aka DJ Cleo, has been accused of neglecting his disabled father.
In an interview with the Sundaysun, Papa Monyepao poured his heart out.
Samuel Monyepao (64) told the Sundaysun he educated and supported his son up to the age of 25.
"When I think of all the money I spent on his education, my heart bleeds. I'm heartbroken, because my rich son doesn't give a rat's a**e about me!" said Samuel.
Samuel, who lives in Bochum, Limpopo, said: "The last time he was here he brought me a bucket of KFC. And this is the man who owns 10 houses in Johannesburg and more than a dozen cars.
What does concern us here at ZAlebs headquarters is that after so many years of Dj Cleo being successful in the music industry, his father only comes out now to claim that his son dumped him.
For now we are waiting for Cleo's version before adding our two cents. There could be something the old man is not telling us.
Do you agree that children should take care of their parents once they are financially independent?
Meanwhile, Cleo, who is a diehard Orlando Pirates fan, says he has no problem putting his music career on hold while focusing on football. Imagine Cleo breaking it down during a Bafana game. To the left, to the right, turn around...
