Euphonik and DJ Fresh's rape case has reached it's conclusion and that sees the accuser dodging a bullet. A Twitter user by the handle Nampree revealed the shocking ordeal which according to her took place in 2011 at a party she had attended with a friend of hers. Due to insufficient evidence, the charges were dropped but she was still being charged for defamation of character. Now, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has dismissed the charges opened by the DJ's, as they believed it had no grounds for prosecution.

The DJ's breathed a huge sigh of relief when the charges against them were dropped but Nampree was faced with possible jail time had the case succeeded against her.

In a comment to TshisaLive, Nampree is only relieved because she could have gone to jail for "telling her truth."

She said that the case was actually declined the first time since it was opened in April, but the duo buddies appealed and it got re-opened again. She welcomes the decision, “I welcome the decision by the NPA because it declined the case twice, even after they appealed. Should they have not declined, I would have been sentenced. I'd have a criminal records for simply stating my truth,” she told the publication.

At the time these allegations were fresh, Thabo told IOL that he does not even know the woman. "...The fact that these claims are untrue and from an unknown source, does not make them less hurtful,” Fresh told IOL.

“I am deeply concerned that spurious allegations about GBV , especially as it is one of the most significant societal challenges in South Africa, undermine the gravity of legitimate incidents, and impact the urgency with which they are attended. Each time someone succumbs to the temptation of using GBV to further personal agendas, the cause to eradicate this scourge takes a step backwards.“

DJ Fresh is still embroiled in a legal battle with his ex-girlfriend Penny Lebyane who vows to get justice. Penny told City Press that she wants nothing to do with DJ Fresh's and Ntsiki Mazwai's legal battle.

He allegedly wants Penny to pay for his legal fees which amount to R79000, but Penny will not conform to that, hence the reason to armour herself with lawyers.

On social media Ntsiki said that she had actually been sued twice and one of the possible cases include this one with DJ Fresh. The poet had to pay R150 000 for one of the cases she is being sued for. She thanked the Almighty for this victory.

Ntsiki did not delve deeper into her courtroom politics because as with all legal matters, they are never discussed.
