DJ Fresh has released part-two of his statement regarding allegations he sexually assaulted women in his past

The 947 DJ spoke out for the second time this week, however this time he delved deeper into the accusations, in which he branded them 'false'.

The allegations were made public by Twitter account @AmINext_SA, accusing Fresh of sexually assaulting numerous women, who chose to remain anonymous.

After initially stating that he 'chose to stay in his lane' by remaining silent, the top jock has now defended himself against the claims.

He wrote in his official statement; “The current allegations are false and without base. They have been made and published, recklessly.

“The fight against gender based violence is one of the biggest battles in our country and it saddens me that the focus is being shifted from real issues and perpetrators.

Fresh added that he was working hard as a male public figure to use his platform to create more awareness and bring a call to action against gender-based violence.

He added; “As a person who has been in the entertainment industry for over two decades; I have considered myself as a tool and a voice for the unheard."

The stinging statement also lambastes his ex - rumoured to be Penny Lebyane - in which Fresh reveals plans to sue her for her comments

Over the weekend Penny took to Twitter to reveal startling details about her ex - allegedly Fresh - in which she accused him of cheating on her with young girls as well as keeping inappropriate photos and videos of them on his phone and computer.

He continued; “As for the statement made by someone I had a relationship with over 18 years ago, they are without merit and denied,” he said.

“I have, in the past, chosen to ignore this person, but due to the implications of the most recent statements, the matter has been referred to my attorneys to handle and I am not in a position to comment at this time.”

Fans have had mixed reactions to Fresh's statement

Whilst some have pledged their support to the star, others remain dubious

Penny also tweeted subtle response thanking her supporters in a post that read; "I am not alone. You are are with me and I am with you. I see you."
