The DJ who is managed by her mother, opened up about her struggles and how her mom has been her rock.

She often gets bullied on social media countless times but either mizes the hate or takes social media hiatuses. This time she faced her trolls head on and told them that they would never break her.

"Social Media CAN NOT BREAK WHAT IT DID NOT BUILD- I BUILT ME," she said.

Then Lamiez went on speaking about how her day went earlier this week and said she had not gotten that much rest in a long time.

"First day in a very long time that I get to rest. I legit work every single day.
Between Tv, radio, deejaying, philanthropic work, my other businesses and family- all of me is tired. On social media, everything seems perfect and you’d swear I have it all. You’d also swear that I got it easily BUT

Lamiez then gave fans a background of her life and how her humble beginnings lead her to discovering her love for deejaying. Her mother had gotten retrenched and could not afford her studies, but encouraged her to try deejaying, "My mom got retrenched and wasn’t able to pay for my studies. Things went from okay to really bad overnight."

"12 years later and my family’s sacrifices to sit in the dark a little longer so that I could pursue my love for music is what pushes me to work as hard as I do. So whilst it looks easy, NONE of this came overnight. It took me with the help of my mom who managed me from day 1 TWELVE whole years to build."

She then celebrated her mother who protects her brand extensively, "All that I am, all that I have and all that I’ve built is because of this woman. My strength comes from this. My strength comes from being bullied for being darker than my siblings, being called the nastiest of names by strangers and even racist family members."

Lamiez has dedicated her time to making sure her loved ones are loved and cared for.

"This year we dedicate more time to making sure our loved ones know just how special they are! Whilst I’ve always gone out of my way for my people, work always came first."
