Scammers are always hard at work and they love hiding behind celebrities names as they do their dirty work and now hit producer DJ Maphorisa is the latest target.
The popular Mzansi producer's name is being used by a fake Twitter account going by his name. The fake DJ Maphorisa account this week on Twitter announced that they would be giving R3000 to 100 lucky winners.
The account @DJ_Maphorisa has been announcing winners of the page and has been posting pictures of the famous DJ.
DJ Maphorisa, the real Lawd Porry took to Twitter to share that he is not involved in the #WinR3k competition ran by the page using his name and warned that it's a scam.
Recently Metro FM radio presenter Lerato Kganyago warned her followers on Twitter about a fake account in her name giving away smartphones.
