Several attendees are foaming at the mouth and have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment in the way the festival events unfolded on day one.
The festival attracted thousands of festival-goers who packed the Kyalami Grand Prix on Saturday 24 September, for the two days event. A number of renowned artists including Burna Boy, Thebe, Kabel,o and Niss performed and kept revelers on their feet throughout the day and night.
The festival was rocked by fake tickets drama before it even took place. Several Twitter users have complained about the long queues, and massive traffic jams, and patrons in the VIP section said they couldn't hear the sound properly.
There were revelers who said they had spent hours ordering food, parking, drinking, and making their entrances. @BassieLastrassi tweeted "The name of the game is queueing. To pee, to eat, to park, to drink, to enter. You will spend at least 3 hours queuing. #DStvDelicious."
On Saturday organizers issued a statement apologizing to revelers for the long queues to the VIP section saying they were caused by the fake tickets.
"We are aware that the entry to VIP is taking longer than expected. Additional security processes are being implemented due to fake tickets and unauthorised tickets," tweeted the festival earlier on Saturday.
