Emtee has made it clear that his boss hasn't wronged him in any way.
This comes after it was reported that Ambitiouz Records owner Kgosi Mahumapelo had allegedly taken his and Fifi Cooper's Metro FM awards statuettes.
According to Sunday World sources, Emtee was paid R400,000 for his Metro FM awards, while Fifi was given R300,0000.
Their boss reportedly took half of their money. "He took R200 000 from Emtee and R150 000 from Fifi Cooper. They went bonkers. Their beef is that, although he invested a lot of money in shooting videos and launching their albums, he should have at least took less than what he took," said the source.
However, the rapper, who walked away with the Record of the Year award at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) on Saturday, has denied these reports.
While accepting his award, he made it clear that his boss didn't rob him. He also set things straight on the red carpet during an interview with Bonang Matheba.
Emtee said: "He's [Kgosi] like my pops, you know, my dad and he looks after me very well. So, I don't know what people are talking about, he changed my life..."
