For as long as anyone can remember, Generations: The Legacy remained at the top with Uzalo occupying the number 1 spot. Although the KwaMashu-based drama series still remains at the top, Generations fell two spots down and it's all thanks to eTV shows Scandal! and House Of Zwide.

According to the latest viewership report by the Broadcast Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA), Generations: The Legacy is no longer the second most watched soapie in the country.

Coming in at number 1 is the ever-so-popular Uzalo with 5.9 million viewers, in second place with 5.3 million viewers is Scandal! and House Of Zwide makes it to number three with 4.9 million viewers. This places Generations: The Legacy at number four with 4.7 million viewers. In case you're wondering who number 5 is, with 4.5 million viewers, Skeem Saam takes the 5th spot.

Another interesting rating is Idols SA which only had 744K viewers since it began. This is far below than the millions of viewers they used to attract in previous seasons.
Fans have speculated what might be the reason for this, with some saying they cannot stomach seeing Somizi in their TV screens. Others say previous judges Unathi Nkayi and Randall Abrahams were the perfect judges, unlike new additions JR and Thembi Seete.

But for most people, its the constant renewing of seasons shortly after one ends.

When she exited, Somizi threw shade at Unathi saying his mother was responsible for that, not him.

“I start shooting Idols next week, I’m going to show this off (traditional bracelet).”

“It was my mother, not me. It’s beyond my control. My mother told me not to fight, she will do it for me,” he said. “My God said do not revenge. Do not avenge. Be quiet, I will revenge for you. They attacked me and I was quiet. One by one watch them drop like this. This time I didn’t even do anything to them,” he continued.

Unathi and Somizi had a fall out which he addressed in his reality show. “Honestly, I was shocked, I was disappointed but it is what it is. Sometimes when people show you who they are, you leave them,” he told Vusi. “Someone that I thought we were okay with went public.”

“The devil does not want to see me prosper. This day has been a day and a half,” he added. “If I have to go work with her, in the same space with her. It’ not in my nature to say its either me or somebody else. I’m not going to take bread away from somebody who feeds her kids and family and stuff. I’m going to make sure my space and peace is protected, one. I never want to talk to her again, I never want to speak to her again.”
