There is nothing worse than waking up to the news of a celebrity's death, especially when it's involving one of South Africa's most beloved personalities. This morning we were greeted by the sad news that rapper and former Skwatta Kamp member, Flabba's has died.
Earlier this morning there were rumours floating around social media that the rapper had been stabbed by his girlfriend. In a tweet, the SAPS confirmed this when they said:
"Musician Nkululeko Kgababedi, known as Slaber, residing in Alexandra, was stabbed to death and a woman has been arrested SD"
Nemza, his Skwatta Kamp band mate, wrote on Facebook this morning: "Good morning fam... It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of the saddest news this morning that one of my brothers, Flabba, has passed away. May his soul RIP, he will never be forgotten. Gone too soon with so much potential still. Will always love him. Life is a precious gift and he lived every breath with a full heart!!! #RIPLenyora #Skwatta4eva."
The announcement shocked Mzansi and people have quickly taken to social media to express their sadness at the news. At first, when reading it, I thought it was another one of Twitter's infamous fake deaths, but upon closer inspection, there are just too many famous and connected people who are talking about Flabba's death for it to have been fake.

I'm really struggling to believe this. Flabba joined Cassper Nyovest and others on stage on Friday's episode of SABC1's Live Amp; he then took to the stage on Saturday with the likes of Riky Rick at Axecess Jozi, and now today he's dead? Hayi man, we need to get to the bottom of this and I hope whoever did this is caught and dealt with immediately.
#RIPFlabba has begun trending on Twitter and we have some of the celebrity reactions here The likes of DJ Fresh, Dineo Ranaka, Cassper Nyovest and several more, all had their say.
