Former Ses'Top La Actress Busi Lurayi Dies

The entertainment fraternity is mourning again following the untimely passing of former Ses'Top La and How To Ruin Christmas actress Busi Lurayi.

According to a statement making the rounds on social media, her family has confirmed her passing “We are deeply saddened to notify you of the passing of our beloved Busisiwe Lurayi,” read the statement.

Her cause of death has not yet been determined, but it was confirmed that she passed away suddenly on Sunday. “Busisiwe passed away suddenly and was pronounced dead at her residence on Sunday 10.07.2022 by medical personnel. The reason for her death is still unknown as we await the results of the autopsy report,” the statement continued.

The family has also asked for privacy during their time of grieve. “We humble request that you allow us as the family to come to terms with this tragic news. We thank you for the support that has been given so far and will provide further information as soon as it is made available."

Celebs and the public have conveyed their messages of condolences to her family and paid tribute to her.

Her passing comes after the industry is mourns the loss of rapper Itumeleng George Tladi, AKA, Tumi Tladi. His family confirmed his untimely passing through a statement.

"The family of SA hip-hop artist Itumeleng George Tladi today [Sunday] confirmed with profound sadness and loss of his untimely passing," read the family statement.

“Tumi was deeply loved by his family, friends and the entertainment industry as a whole. The Tladi family humbly request privacy during their period of grieving and ask that you please keep them in your prayers.”
