On Sunday night, Babes Wodumo shocked many people when she shared a very graphic video of her boyfriend, Mampintsha allegedly physically assaulting her. The video which was first seen on the starlet's Instagram Live has since gone viral and many celebrities and fans have weighed in on the very disturbing situation.

On Tuesday, Mampintsha was arrested in Pinetown and then subsequently released on R 2000 bail.

Although Mampintsha is the one who allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, many social media users have been accusing DJ Tira of being an abuse enabler and not do anything to help Babes and his wife is defending him. Taking to Instagram, she wrote a lengthy statement defending her husband:

"It truly hurts to see how the attention has shifted to @djtira and not trying support @babes_wodumo Bongekile Simelani was assaulted last night by Mampintsha her boyfriend this is a criminal act abuse is abuse and mampintsha should be punished period! Ukuthi how u making this about tira it's amazing your comments alone are abusive for ppl who are saints , it's such things that made babes go back previously cause she then was made to feel sorry via your backlash against mampintsha / abuse is a sensitive issue also life threatening don't focus on things or ppl who will delay actions that should be taken. #enoughisenough I'd also like to appeal to the police department to take abuse cases seriously our system has made women stay away from reporting these cases.," she wrote in part. Shortly after Masechaba Ndlovu shared that Babes was in an allegedly abusive relationship on her Metro FM show, many people questioned why the people around the couple did not do anything to intervene in the toxic situation.

In an interview On Real Talk on 3, DJ Tira said he had no idea about the alleged abuse.

“I didn’t know and when that news broke, that really touched me. I didn’t know,” he told Azania Mosaka on the talk show.

Although DJ Tira has distanced himself from this with a statement, tweeps are calling him out for not doing enough to protect Babes. Take a look at some of the tweets below:

Is DJ Tira to blame or are people just misdirecting their anger? Weigh on on our comments section.
