Isibaya Cast Members Bid Nomzamo Farewell

The unexpected death of Thandeka played by Nomzamo Mbatha on popular Mzansi Magic's sudser Isibaya has sent shockwaves to many in the country. Avid viewers of the soapie were in a tizz after Thandeka was shot dead by Judas Ngwenya on Friday night's episode.

Last month the rumour mill was on overdrive that Nomzamo had left the show, many were not convinced by the reports however on Friday evening it was clear to see that her character has unfortunately reached its end.

Nomzamo shot to fame in 2014 after she bagged her role on the soapie. The hit soapie which started as Telenovela turned her into a household name with a legion of fans.

Her unconditional love for her on-screen husband Sbu played by Sdumo Mtshali captured the hearts of many ordinary South Africans. The pair became Mzansi's favourite on-screen couple.

We were first introduced to their love when Thandeka went to the river in eBhubesini and at first glance she fell in love with Sbu, although their families were rivals, the pair defied all odds and got hitched which also saw Thandeka deciding to pursue her career interests abroad and in Friday's episode she came home.

Thandeka was welcomed by Sbu, but her journey ended in tragedy when she was shot dead.

While many were reeling in shock following her sudden death, cast members of the popular soapie have wished her all the best in her future endeavours.

It is no secret that Nomzamo's dream has always been to conquer Hollywood. With all her hard work and perseverance, last year Nomzamo bagged a hit role on the much-anticipated sequel  'Coming To America 2'.

The role forced her to relocate to the big apple and it was not easy for her to kill two birds with one stone. In a video posted by Isibaya, they bid farewell to her and spoke fondly about how she has grown in leaps and bounds since her debut on the show. They encouraged her to stay grounded and keep on working hard.

The starlet responded and said, " Thank you for raising & challenging me into becoming the performer that I am today".
