Itumeleng Khune received sympathy messages from his Instagram followers after he posted a picture of himself holding a bunch of roses which were supposedly for his girlfriend, Sbahle Mpisane who is currently in the hospital.
On the picture, he appeared at the airport in Durban at the departures gate, he also captioned his location “Ethekwini” and this made his fans assume that he was heading to visit Sbahle in hospital.
Khune’s followers applauded him for taking the time to visit his girlfriend.
Some of the fans could not hide their love for the Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper. One fan left a message saying, “My goalkeeper, Mr Romance.” While another fan wished Itu's lady a speedy recovery.
Furthermore, some fans were happy that Itu is alive after rumours of his death circulated online. Fake death rumours are so annoying.
One Poifetso said, “I saw this article saying you died in a car crash. It made my mom cry and I cried after, damn please thanks for updating us every day so we can find peace. We can’t lose you. I love you.”
Sbahle is currently recovering in hospital after that near-fatal car accident that occurred last month.
Earlier on in September, Sbahle's brother - Andile - uploaded a video of Sbahle in hospital. The video sent shockwaves across social media as the public felt that the brother did not need to upload the video of a visibly frail Sbahle.
