The young and talented, Gugu Zuma is making entertainment headlines in a way, that we doubt she ever expected. Fresh from an internship with US superstar actor/producer, Tyler Perry, it has been said that Gugu is working on a show called Uzalo . The show, which is currently being championed in Kwazulu-Natal is set to be the latest soapie aiming to kill off and finally replace SABC1's controversial lead soapie, Generations.
The show, which has already filmed over 300 scenes, has been created with the intention of having a strong dramatic appeal with a Zulu influence and will initially take on Mzansi Magic's Isibaya during the weekly 8:30pm.
Individuals close to the Uzalo declined the opportunity to talk about the show when approached earlier this week. That hasn't stopped many from speculating that some members of the controversial Generations cast might have been commissioned for this new, exciting project. Uzalo was initially meant to air in January 2015, however the debacle at Generations means the soapie may be on local screens sooner.
