The woman accused of conning Jimmy Tau sent this email to Sunday World, "In 2015, Mr Tau, acting in his capacity as trustee of two trusts, entered into a memorandum of agreement with Bruce Buthelezi and I, in our capacities as trustees of a trust, for shares in a company equal to 10% of the share capital to be issued in the company. The agreed amount was R2-million.
"Based on principles of confidentiality, I will not provide you with the names of the trusts.
"Until June/July 2016, Mr Tau displayed no interest or concern regarding the financial affairs of the company or otherwise. Furthermore, Mr Tau did not attempt to follow due processes and procedures when demanding that the R2-million be repaid to him.
"Following ongoing negotiations between the attorneys representing Mr Tau, myself and Bruce, no agreements have been reached. Mr Tau has been unable to prove that the money is due and payable to him."
