Bucie is not the only artist to face the wrath of social media after the 21st South African Music Awards. The singer, who won the Female of the Year award at the prestigious event on Sunday, was slammed after not mentioning Heavy K during her acceptance speech.
Now K.O has found himself in a similar situation. The rapper, who scooped three awards - including Record of the Year for Cara Cara, has been criticised for apparently not acknowledging the song’s producer, Lunatik, when he accepted the award.
Twitter user @lebolukewarm wrote: “I think it's bullsh*t that @MrCashtime did not thank/acknowledge his producer @LunatikBeatz last night #SAMAXXI.”
Forgetting your producer in your acceptance speech is right up there with forgetting God #SAMAXXI @Margstalicious @MrCashtime @LunatikBeatz

Cashtime Life CEO Thabiso Khati told ZAlebs that K.O thanked Lunatik when he received his first award on the night for Best Collaboration. He added: “K.O went into the awards not knowing how many awards he will win and thus made it a point to thank Lunatik when he was awarded the very first award and even went on to mention that the kid is ‘only 21 years old’.”
