Popular Social Media influencer Kefilwe Mabote has lost her R1 million court case agaisnt Sunday World.
If that was not enough, the court dismissed Kefilwe’s case with costs, meaning she would have to cover the other side’s legal fees.
At the time she had stated this as her reason for the lawsuit: "The Sunday World Newspaper dated 11 October 2020 published an article on me branding me a “Slay Queen” on a “bedroom roll” thereby placing my brand in disrepute."
"I have decided to break the silence and take legal action. As this is now a legal matter, I ask that we respect the legal process and shall not be conducting any interviews on the matter until it has been resolved. Thank you."
Well Tweeps weighed in on her loss.

In her official statement, Kefilwe felt that the article was very misleading and described her in a way that doesn't reflect her true character.
Naturally, I'm never one for confrontation, regardless of my social media presence and influence as a public figure. However, the article was very misleading, derogatory, and defamatory and insinuating that I am a 'slay queen' who is presumably on a 'bedroom roll' of wealthy men, particularly Edwin Sodi.
Kefilwe said that she and her partner Edwin are happily in love but do not do business together.
Edwin and I are in a happy, healthy and private relationship and do not have any business affiliations with one another.
