Anele Mdoda was one of several thousand fans who enjoyed Lauryn Hill's performance at the TicketPro Dome in Johannesburg this weekend - but in the days that have followed, the spotlight has turned to those who wanted L. Boogie (and indeed the concert) to be a disaster.
Even Lauryn Hill's biggest fans will admit that she's suffered from consistency issues from some time in her career. One too many no-shows coupled with a few poor shows have tainted the reputation of one of the most influential musicians in the modern times.
So when we found out she was coming to South Africa, the jokes about her bailing on the gig began. But she made it. And she performed a memorable set that would rank right up there with some of her best performances on the night. And everybody was happy.
Everybody, except it seems, the haters who really wanted to see this feel and that's exactly who Anele took aim at a day after the concert.
The outspoken presenter took to Twitter to write: It didn't take long for Twitter detectives to start speculating as to who she was shading and one particular tweep suspected that Rami Chuene was one of Anele's targets:
