The legal battle between late rapper HHP's wife Lerato Sengadi and his family is still ongoing as they are set to meet in court this Friday.

It's been eighteen months since HHP was laid to rest but there has been no peace between his wife and family.

Taking to Twitter, HHP's customary wife shared that this Friday, she will be appearing in the Supreme Court of Appeals.

“On the 6th of March 2020, I am being taken to the Supreme Court of Appeals of the Republic of South Africa by my late husband’s family. #IWillNotCower,” she wrote.

Lerato mentioned that despite her win in the High court, she has not received anything from her husband's estate.

“As it stands NOTHING that was awarded 2 me in my previous High Court win was handed over. Hopefully, after Friday, this messy ordeal will be over. #IWillNotCower,” she added.

In 2018, Lerato was lawfully named HHP's customary wife, the Tsambo family is appealing “whether a valid customary marriage was concluded” between Lerato and their late son.

According to  DRUM magazine, the Tsambo family spokesperson, Nkululeko Ncana revealed that they are appealing that decision because a different court and judge will surely get them better results.

“We have exercised this right in law because we believe the honourable judge erred in his ruling and that a different court may look at the facts in hand and find differently. We have full confidence that the SCA will deliver justice.”
