The late rapper was buried on Sunday and was given a dignified send-off by family, friends and fans.
Although it was visibly hard to say goodbye to one of South Africa's most respected rappers, his family and friends made sure that the rapper was laid to rest in the most respectful of manners.
Here are just some of the most notable messages said by his family:
His wife - Ayanda
"I will tell different tales of all that you taught and shared with me. When you and I met my world changed...thinking about all the Sunday afternoons listening to sweet melodies of Teddy Pendergrass, singing and dancing, smiles. All I have now are those memories that I will always cherish my love. I've never met anyone with such grace and gratitude, you treated all who approached you with dignity."
Family on behalf of Pro's aunt
"We would like to thank the Lord for the time and opportunity that he gave us with Pro and the things he did for us. Aunty know's that there is nothing that Linda wouldn't do for her. Everything aunty needed, Linda would call and ask if she's ok and if there is anything else she needed."
But the most heartwrenching message was from his brother - Sandile Mkhize.

Pro was laid to rest at the Westpark Cemetery and a tombstone of the late rapper was also erected on the day.
