TV presenter turned actor Lunga Shabalala is currently on The River's viewers radar as his storyline is currently leading on the show.
The River is Lunga's first acting gig since his rise to fame on the SABC 1 entertainment and variety TV show, Selimathunzi. Some people would say that Lunga is nailing his role as Lindani Dhlomo on the award-winning drama series, whilst some are not completely convinced.
Lunga has been a part of the show since it's debuted on screens and viewers have got to see his acting grow as he takes on different storylines. The latest storyline has seen Lindani face deep heartbreak after discovering that his wife Tumi has been cheating on him with his cousin Mabutho.
For weeks, Lindani and Tumi's marriage had begun to crack, as the couple began to realise that they both want different things. Lindani being the simple man and wanted to move out of the Dikana mansion and into his own RDP house with his wife, well Tumi was not about to leave her lavish life to go stay in the mansion to go stay in small RDP house.
As the cracks deepened in their marriage, Tumi somehow found comfort in the arms of Mabutho who has been there for her during some dark moments.
Lindani began to suspect that his dear wife was finding comfort elsewhere but could not figure out exactly what was going on.
At some point, Lindani even suspected and accused Zolani of sleeping with his wife because they have a history together, but little did, he knows that the culprit is closer to home.
Lindani tried to fix his marriage, even changing to Tumi's expectations, until he finally found out the painful truth, that Tumi was cheating on him.
This storyline has seen Lunga be pushed to show off his acting skills and just how far he can he take his talent. Well, not everyone is impressed with Lunga's talent with some finding it a bit painful to watch the actor, as they do not seem him connecting with his emotions as much as they would like him too.
