Abuti Ntsizwa's death on The River left viewers shattered and ready to cancel the show as they were left in disbelief over the death of the character who just joined the show but had a storyline that had many hoping for the best outcome.

Renowned Mzansi actor Meshack Mavuso joined The River to portray the love interest of Rakgadi Kedibone portrayed by Tsholofelo Matshaba.

Unfortunately, Ntsizwa was dying due kidney failure but the couple was willing to make things work despite the hurdles.

Viewers were left gutted when Ntsizwa passed away after a romantic evening with his love, where he also proposed to her and viewers were left optimistic but that was all cut short when after a nap he didn't wake up.

Whilst he is probably just doing his job viewers feel that the show's producer Phathu Makwarela is playing with their emotions and are starting to think that he is the show's real villain and actually not Lindiwe.
