KK is known as the shady but somehow inescapable ladies man on Muvhango. He has done everything from embezzlement to domestic violence but we all thought it was a role, right? Seems like we were wrong.
The man behind the mean scowl and neon suits, McDonald Ndou, is taking more than just his scripts home. The Muvhango star is being investigated by the Hawks!
The star was recently called in by the Hawks as a person of interest. Reports reveal that he, along with 2 other men, have been charged with extortion, corruption, theft and kidnapping. McDonald is alleged to be one third of the trio that tried to extort a R100,000 bribe from a Gauteng-based businessman.
But McDonald and his friend allegedly did it as some kind of Robin Hood? They apparently targeted the man once they heard he was illegally dealing in diamonds. Instead of handing him over to the authorities, Hawks reports state that the actor and his henchmen allegedly threatened to arrest the businessman if he did come up with the money they asked for. Two days after the incident they are said to have arranged to collect R20,000 from the businessman when the Hawks swooped in.
Rumours of his arrest have flooded the timeline but to clarify, MacDonald was never formally arraigned in a court of law. While the other suspects appeared in the Booysens Magistrate Court on Monday, McDonald's charges were actually formally withdrawn pending further investigation.

The Hawks confirmed in court, though, that Ndou is still a person of interest in the case. The Muvhango actor has yet to comment on the matter himself, however, the SABC2 soapie issued a statement for their fans.
The statement asked fans not to make "premature conclusions based on speculation and hearsay" and added that Ndou was still "very much a valued member of the Muvhangofamily".
We hope the investigation goes well to bring whoever is guilty of the crime to justice!
