[LISTEN] Leaked Audio Of Makhadzi Confronting Open Mic

Queen of Bolebedu Music, Makhadzi has had a whirlwind of a couple of days. First, it was her official statement confirming her departure from the contentious record label Open Mic. At the time of the official statement, it seemed that the matter was amicable as she had completed her three-year deal with the record label.

However, that quickly changed as Makhadzi took to Twitter to put the record label on blast. As reported:

… Her thread explains in part that:

I signed with Open Mic only for three years. In [these] sp three years I dropped 4 albums. I have never received any cent of my sales. Some of my album[s] reached platinum, some gold. And a lot of [the] hit songs that reached platinum and gold. But I continue to work without complaining [because] all I wanted was to serve my contract, to avoid them saying I bridged the contract.

I’m talking about the contract that I signed and no one [was] allowed to give me a copy. I worked with Open Mic without a copy of my contract ever since they said they will send it. I kept on reminding them but no one was willing to send me my contract.”

So I can see those clause? And how positive is that to renew my contract without sitting down with me ? And how about my money for my album cz you haven’t never sent any cent , how posible is that for you to renew my contract without coming to me, what if I not happy working wit

Following her series of tweets, it seems that the public was less than sympathetic as this marks the second time that Makhadzi was bamboozled into signing a shoddy recording label or management deal. Moreover, given her wealth, it seems that the public opinion was for her to get a legal team to help instead of asking for the public’s sympathy yet again.

I think it’s because this is not the first time she’s in this situation. After the drama with Rita people expected her to get lawyers – she can afford lawyers btw.

As the matter was unfolding, it seems that someone wanted to make it clear that Makhadzi’s allegations were real given the recently leaked audio.

Makhadzi was part of the winners of the recent Metro FM Awards 2023 as she walked away with the Best Female Artist trophy.

However, during that time, audio of Makhadzi confronting Open Mic’s Managing Director Nkateko Maluleka. This comes as Makhadzi had alleged:
